Nearby localities include Kesab to the north, Mashqita and Ayn al-Bayda to the southwest and Qastal Ma'af to the west. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics, Rabia had a population of 1,986 in the 2004 census. It is the administrative center of the Rabia ''nahiyah'' ("subdistrict"), which consisted of 21 localities with a collective population of 8,214 in 2004.〔(General Census of Population and Housing 2004 ).
